A Career That Began with a Rugby Team
Neil’s industry career started early. While still at school, he sold sports nutrition products to his rugby teammates. After earning a degree in nutrition, he moved directly into an industry that was much younger than it is today.
At one point he tried to “grow up” and move into mainstream food and beverage. Sports nutrition kept drawing him back. The pace was faster, the products were more experimental, and the category was willing to test ideas that larger markets would adopt later.
Protein is one example. Creatine’s movement into broader consumer awareness is another. For Neil, sports nutrition functions as an innovation environment where performance needs create pressure for better evidence, delivery, and product design.
Using AI to Search Nature Differently
Nuritas uses artificial intelligence to analyse biological data and identify potentially useful peptides within natural sources. The promise is not that AI replaces laboratory work or clinical research. It helps narrow an enormous search space so that promising candidates can be identified and tested more efficiently.
